You will benefit from knowing that the VCA (Vehicle Certification Agency) is the United Kingdom’s Official certification authority when it comes to anything to do with dangerous goods packaging and ‘some’ bulk containers. We have provided details on how to get in contact with them along with a link to a list of approved packaging suppliers on the VGA website.

For quick reference: the VGA’s (Dangerous Goods) contact telephone number is: 01372 226111 and they are open: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

IMPORTANT: Before you order any types of packaging from your supplier, make sure the supplier sends you the following:

A copy of the safety certificate (Get it checked to be safe).

Full information, such as data-sheets – so that you can establish how to use the packaging in the proper way.

Any information of testing reports for your chosen packaging.

If you need any advice at all on anything to do with the packaging of dangerous goods – you should contact the VGA.
